Privacy Policy

We collect only what's necessary to provide the PlaayUp service:

• ›Mobile phone number (used for OTP-based authentication — no password stored)
• ›Display name you choose within the app
• ›UPI ID (if you choose to add it for payment purposes — never stored on our servers for processing; used only to generate deeplinks)
• ›Session and expense data you create within your groups
• ›Device information (OS version, app version) for crash reporting

We use collected data exclusively to provide and improve PlaayUp:

• ›Authenticate your account via OTP
• ›Display your name and balance within your sports groups
• ›Generate UPI payment deeplinks for group expense settlement
• ›Sync session, attendance, and expense data across group members in real time
• ›Send in-app and push notifications for group activity
• ›Diagnose crashes and improve app performance

PlaayUp does not process payments. We generate UPI deeplinks that open your preferred UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.) with pre-filled payment details.

All payment transactions happen directly between your bank and the recipient's bank via UPI infrastructure operated by NPCI. PlaayUp never touches, holds, or processes your money.

UTR numbers entered by users are stored as payment confirmation references. We do not verify UTRs with banks.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following infrastructure providers who may process your data:

• ›Supabase (database, authentication, and real-time sync) — data stored in their secure cloud infrastructure
• ›Expo (mobile app push notifications)
• ›Vercel (website hosting)

Your data is stored in Supabase with row-level security (RLS) enforced — you can only access data for groups you are a member of.

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. All data at rest is encrypted by our infrastructure providers.

Expense and payment records use an immutable ledger model — records are write-only and cannot be modified or deleted.

As a PlaayUp user, you have the right to:

• ›Access all personal data we hold about you — email privacy@plaayup.com
• ›Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
• ›Export your group's expense history
• ›Withdraw consent for push notifications via device settings

PlaayUp is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification and by updating the 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page.

Continued use of PlaayUp after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
